Nike Women’s Football

One of my favourite projects at Nike was when I initiated the research and redesign of women’s football apparel. Football was still seen as a men’s sport at Nike and I wanted to raise awareness in the category that women’s football has grown massively and is still growing today – not just in North America but worldwide. I organised research groups to interview The US National team, the KNVB and also Manchester City women’s teams to gain valuable feedback and insights into their unique needs as female athletes – both graphically and for product. I took this valuable information and worked together with product designers to redesign the women’s kits – doing fit testing along the way to ensure we were making the best product possible.
